GRD Inkjet Printing in the Creative Media Center

Creative Media Center / AH460 is now offering discounted ink jet printing on the Epson R2880's and Epson 4000 printers.
  • Access to this printing only is only offered during posted CMC Open Lab times. http://www.cmc.gsu.edu/schedule.html
  • Cash, personal check, or money order are the accepted forms of payment. Exact change is preferred if cash is used so bring quarters and singles.
  • Students must provided their own Epson Inkjet paper.
  • The prices listed below are in effect through 4/27/12, at which point the CMC will close for the semester.
  • There is a Required process for entering the CMC during OPEN LAB which begins by:
  1. Swiping their GSU ID card in the activity reader on the entrance desk.
  2. Signing in on the printing list and indicating their name, the number of prints they desire, which printer (Epson R228 Matt, R2880 gloss, or the Epson 4000).
  3. Paying the CMC lab Monitor before printing. The students' names will be check again our list to insure discount.
  4. Printing and showing the lab monitor the prints before leaving the lab.
The Epson R2880 and Epson 4000 Printing prices (through 4/27/12) are:
  • 8.5x11=.25¢
  • 11x17=.75¢
  • 13x19=$1
  • 17x22=$2.25

Portfolio Review for Graphic Design

On Friday April 27th between 2-5pm students interested in applying to the graphic design program will bring their pristine and creative work to Room 468 in order to have the work evaluated full and part time Instructors in the Graphic Design Department: Paige Taylor, Liz Throop, Jason Snape, Catherine Normoyle and Stan Anderson.

Each Instructor will evaluate the portfolio work independently first and then all the Instructors will meet back together as a group to compare their notes and evaluations. Please don't be late to bring your work if you want to be considered for the annual portfolio review.
 

Dates when to pick up your work and when you will receive notification via email is forthcoming.

Grid Critique

Today the class was asked to defend their work to a panel that was asked to address the designers with questions only. No formal presentation were conducted, rather we learned about the work through Q&A. It turned out to be beneficial by really forcing everyone to pose comments, concerns, etc. into questions. Below is the work we discussed.
